Do You Believe that ALL Scripture is True?

The apostle Paul thought so!  While instructing Timothy in 2 Timothy 3:16 he said this:  “All scripture is given by the inspiration of Elohim, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.”

In verse 15 of this pericope, Paul said that from childhood Timothy “had known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation.”The Scriptures Paul was referring to is the Old Testament as the New Testament was not yet available. When Messiah quoted or referred to Scriptures, he meant the Old Testament.

Paul believed all Scriptures came from Yahweh. They could not contain lies because Paul tells us in Hebrews 6:18 that:  “it was impossible for Elohim to lie.”

Peter tells us in 1 Peter 2:22 that Messiah did not sin. Messiah also addresses his truthfulness in John 14:6:  “I am the way, the truth, and the life.”

Messiah often taught from the Scriptures. (Luke 24:27) Messiah would have only taught the truth and never lied. He often quoted or referred to the Scriptures, but never said the Scriptures or any Scriptures or even a part of Scriptures were lies. For a sample of what Messiah said regarding Scriptures, please review the following verses:  John 7:38, 10:35, 13:18, 17:12, Mark 12:10, or Luke 4:21.  Especially note John 5:39 where the Messiah says:  “Search the Scriptures: for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.”

Would Messiah, who did not sin, did not lie and was declared to be the Son of Yahweh send you on a wild goose chase? I think not. He was serious when he said to search the Scriptures!  Well then, let’s search the Old Testament Scriptures. Let us begin with a verse from the Scriptures found in Deuteronomy 29:20

“Yahweh will not spare him, but then the anger of Yahweh and his jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him and Yahweh shall blot out his name from under heaven.”

Who is this man that is being referred to in this verse? Paul believes this man is Messiah. He refers to this verse in Galatians 3:13:  “Messiah has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, cursed is everyone that hangeth on a tree:”

Paul declares that Messiah was made a curse for us. He also says that man was hung on a tree. This too identifies Messiah who did not die on the cross. That is a myth. The truth is he did die on a tree as prophesied in Deuteronomy 21:23:

“And if a man have committed a sin worthy of death, and he be put to death, and thou hang him on a tree; His body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but thou shalt in any wise bury him that day: (for he that is hanged is accursed of Elohim;) that thy land be not defiled, which Yahweh thy Elohim giveth thee for an inheritance.”

Luke confirms that Messiah died on a tree, and not a cross, in the book of Acts 5: 30, 10:39, and 13: 29. The Apostle Peter also supports this in 1 Peter 2:24.

Paul did not challenge his use of the word tree in Galatians 3:13. He was not present when Messiah died on a tree, but he knew the disciples were. Luke, the author of the book of Luke and the book of Acts, also acknowledges that Messiah died on a tree. The Scriptures are consistent on this fact while man’s tradition is not supported.

If you do not believe that all Scripture, not translations, but the original Hebrew is true, don’t read this any further. My position is that all of the Hebrew Scriptures found in the Old Testament are true.

Why is this important? Take note of what we are told in the last clause of Deuteronomy 29:20.  This is a very curious statement. We are being told that when that man died, the name he had would be blotted out of the book of life. It is important to understand that Messiah is the only human to have died in sin. (1 John 1:7)  Therefore, Messiah, who died in sin, had his name blotted out.

When the Messiah died in sin what name did he have? It was the name given to him at birth, Yahshua. (Luke 1:31) The world is confused about his human name.  Some say his human name was Jesus, Yeshua, or even Yahushua. No matter which human name you wish to assign to him, according to Deuteronomy 29:20, that name was blotted out after his death in sin.

So, his human birth name was blotted out! If he lost his human name in death, what would his name be after his resurrection? We are told many times in the New Testament that he did have a name after his resurrection. In fact, we are told in Hebrews 1:4 that he inherited a new name. We must know what that new name is? Why?

Peter in Acts 2:38 tells us this:  “Repent, and be baptized everyone of you in the name of__________.”  I have purposely left that name blank at this time. The King James Version says the name is Jesus Christ.  Other translations may have Yahshua, Yeshua, or Yahushua. However, according to Deuteronomy 29:20, NONE of these are correct. If we are to perform a proper baptism, we must know his inherited name.  Baptism by any other name is not valid.

The apostle Peter makes a very strong declaration in Acts 4:12:  “Neither is their salvation in any other: there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”  Now this is really important. We must know Messiah’s resurrected name for us to have access to salvation. His human birth name does not meet this requirement. That name is gone; blotted out.

For thousands of years, only one name was known as the name of salvation. That name was Yahweh. (Joel 2: 32) Paul quotes this verse in Romans 10:13. Luke also quotes this verse in Acts 2: 21. This confirms that the name of salvation cannot be the name of a man.  It has to be the name of Yahweh.

In Revelation 14:1, we are told that the 144,000 resurrected saints have a name written in their foreheads. Since they are successfully resurrected when Messiah returns, then that name is the name that allows them to be resurrected.

What name is that? The King James Version does not translate the Greek in that verse correctly. It says only his Father’s name, which would be Yahweh. However, the Greek is this: “his name and the name of his Father”.(Please refer to the Diaglott or the Companion Bible note.)

I have previously stated that according to Joel 2: 32, Yahweh is the name of salvation. The prophet Isaiah confirmed this in several Scriptures including: Isaiah 43: 3, 43:11, 45:15, and 45:21. The Father resurrected his Son. He would have done so in his own name, Yahweh. The inherited name would have to include the Father’s name. This is the name that would be used to resurrect the saints when Messiah returns.  This is why we are told that the name on the saints in Revelation 14:1 is a name that includes both the Father and Son. This inherited name must indicate that Yahweh saves. Messiah’s inherited name is YAHWEHSHUA, Yahweh Saviour.

This name of the Father and Son is consistent with the pattern established in the Old Testament for rendering Yahweh’s name. The name of Yahweh is often accompanied by a descriptive term. For example, you will find Yahweh Shalom (peace), Yahweh Rapheka (healer), or even a name for a future time, Yahweh Zidkenu, Yahweh our Righteousness. Please refer to The Companion Bible appendix four, for further information. Messiah qualified to be resurrected in his Father’s name, the name of salvation. He has earned the name, YahwehShua. This is the name above all names. (Acts 4: 12)  This is THE name by which we must be baptized. (Acts 2:38)  This is his name and his Father’s name!

You may hear many people say that they are Torah obedient or Torah compliant. However, this is a lie if they believe the name of salvation is a man’s name. As we have learned from Deuteronomy 29:20, the man’s name was blotted out.

The apostle John tells us what we need to do to be New Covenant compliant or obedient.  We find his guidance in 1 John 5:13:  “These things I have written to you, that you who believe on the name of the son of Yahweh may know that you have aionian[age-abiding] life.(Diaglott)  As we have learned, this name must be the resurrected name. John wrote these words after the resurrection. He knew the correct name and now you do as well.
