TUTANKHAMUN: AN EGYPTIAN FIRSTBORN SON KILLED BY YAHWEH

We have just completed the observance of Passover and the Days of Unleavened Bread.  It was during this time that I received an advertisement from the local science museum that they were soon to host an exhibit of artifacts from the tomb of Tutankhamun, also known as “King Tut”.  On the front of the brochure was the picture of the beautiful golden mask that was discovered on his mummy. I have always been drawn to Egyptian history and especially the golden mask discovered when the coffin of Tutankhamun was opened. This mask has become an iconic example of the wealth and glory of the Egyptian pharaohs.

Many scholars believe that Tutankhamun was the firstborn son of the pharaoh, who would not release the Israelites and therefore suffered the loss of his son during the tenth plague. For background on this period in history, I’m going to refer you to the Old Testament book of Exodus and the following two websites:

Howard Carter discovered Tutankhamun’s tomb in 1922. That tomb was to be the most complete collection of Egyptian funerary artifacts ever found that was preserved for the world to see.

A focus of the pharaohs of Egypt was to prepare for death. They wanted to live after death. They had a belief system that if they were properly embalmed, entombed with things they would need in the afterlife, and kept their name alive, they would live again. This belief system has left us many clues about the pharaohs and their culture.

The tomb of Tutankhamun gives us a wonderful view into the Egyptian culture of the 18th dynasty. I wonder why it was preserved for us?  It had been broken into by grave robbers as so many other tombs had been. However, in this case, they were unsuccessful in their efforts, which has benefited us. The information you will find on the Ron Wyatt website will give you a depth of insight that will greatly supplement your appreciation for what Yahweh tells us about the exodus.

Yahweh wanted us to have extra biblical evidence of what happened in Egypt during the 10 plagues. Egypt was a great and powerful nation but Yahweh humbled it. When you look at the tomb and mummy, you are looking at the remains of the firstborn son of pharaoh who died the night of Passover. His father was a victim as well. The pharaoh died in the Sea of Reeds (often called the Red Sea) along with his mighty army when the walls of water came down upon them.

Where is Tutankhamun today?  Is he in heaven?  The bible would disprove that.  John 3:13 tells us this: “and no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of Man which is in heaven.”

Is he in hell?  The Old Testament Scriptures do not have a concept of hell but only the grave. In Ecclesiastes 3:19 we are told that death is the same for man and beast. In the Ecclesiastes 9:5 we are told that, “the dead know not anything.”

The Old Testament Scriptures shed light on how death is perceived in another way. In Kings 2:10, we are informed that David died and that he, “slept with his fathers.” No references are made to a life in death, heaven or hell.  Abraham was, “gathered to his people.”  We are informed that these leading figures of the Old Testament are simply in the grave.

We learn more about the fate of the dead in 1 Corinthians 15:22:  “In Christ shall all be made alive.”  King Tut is sleeping in his grave but he will live again! All mankind will be resurrected. Turn again to 1 Corinthians 15, and this time verse 23, which tells us:  “Every man in his own order:  Christ the first fruits; afterward they that or Christ’s at his coming.”

All those who have died are still dead! Tutankhamun, his mother, his father, and all the people alive during the 18th dynasty are dead. They know nothing. They are not conscious. Whether you are a slave, or a pharaoh or even an animal, all die and go to the grave.

However, the animals are not resurrected. All mankind who has ever lived or were conceived will live again. This includes aborted babies as well. All mankind will be resurrected.

Even the prophet Daniel knew he would be resurrected. (Daniel 12:13)  Paul also taught us about being resurrected in first Corinthians 15. The apostle John revealed more in Revelation 20. These are all worth reading. Christians are urged to read these Scriptures especially because they have received false teaching about eternal torture in hell or immediately going to heaven after death.

It is interesting that Yahweh preserved the tomb of Tutankhamun.  I am certain this was done to remind us about the 10 plagues and how he humbled the mighty nation of Egypt.  He is reminding us of the fate of the Egyptian firstborn on that Passover night. The book of Exodus teaches us much about the fate of the Israelites’ firstborn. They lived, while the Egyptian firstborn all perished, including the royalty.

The concept of being firstborn is very important to Yahweh. A firstborn Israelite son received a special status and benefits. (Deuteronomy 21: 17)  The 144,000 firstborn children of Yahweh also have a special status.  James 1: 18 declares that we are a type of firstfruit. We have this status because of the Spirit of Messiah being formed within us from the time we are baptized. Just as Messiah is a firstfruit or firstborn, we will have that same status at the better resurrection. Paul confirms this in Romans 8:29: “For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.”

Because Messiah is firstborn we too have that same status through him. John reminds us of this in first John 3:2:  “Beloved, now are we the sons of Yahweh, and it does not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.” We too are firstfruits and new creations.

As firstborn of Yahweh through Messiah, we will be in the first or better resurrection. Who will be resurrected when Messiah returns?  The 144,000 saints will be with him.  The saints are those who are called, chosen and faithful. They will reign with him for 1000 years here on earth after his return. The saints will judge angels and all mankind during the general resurrection or the last great day. The saints also will be with him in New Jerusalem when the new heavens and earth are created.

King Tutankhamun will not be in that first resurrection. He was royalty with special benefits on earth, but he will have a different status in that resurrection. While he was not called by Yahweh to be in the first resurrection, your reading of this article may be your calling to consider a special opportunity that Yahweh has reserved for you.

Out of all the billions of people since Adam there will only be 144,000 in the better resurrection. (Hebrews 11: 35)  Would you like to be considered for one of these very rare and special positions?

The saints will, “inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:” (Matthew 25:34) Paul confirms this in Ephesians 1:4: “He hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world.”  The 144,000 saints are not an afterthought or a great idea that was developed at a later time. From the very beginning it was Yahweh’s intention to create new family members, his firstborn.

How can you become one of the special firstborn beings? Before I answer this question, let’s look at a warning that Matthew gives us in Matthew 20: 16: “many be called but few are chosen”. John tells us that only the Father does the calling. (John 6: 44, 65)  John adds to this understanding by informing us that Messiah does the choosing.  (John 15: 16)

Peter tells us we are a royal priesthood. (1 Peter 2:9) Tutankhamun was royalty as well. However, he was of an earthly or physical royalty, who was assigned to this special status by birth. The saints are a spiritual royalty who have been called and chosen to be born again with this special status.

However, there is an additional requirement. Not only must you be called and chosen, but also faithful. (Revelation 17: 14)  You must overcome. (Revelation 3: 21) But before you worry about overcoming, you must first determine if you are being called and chosen.

How do you do this? You must first pray to Yahweh for truth. Next you must ask, seek, and knock. (Matthew 7: 7)  We are here to guide you through this process of discovery. This may lead you to baptism in the name of YahwehShua. Once you have accepted your calling, you must then be baptized. It is at that time that the Spirit of the Father is freely given to you and plants the seed of the Son within you. It is the formation of YahwehShua within you that will allow you to be resurrected when he returns.

Please note that baptism in the name of a man is not acceptable. Only baptism in the inherited name of YahwehShua allows you to begin the race to the better resurrection. Please read the other articles on this website and consider asking for our guidance.

“Narrow is the way.”  (Matthew 7:14)  This is referring to the way to the better resurrection. That is the only path reserved for the 144,000 royal saints.

“Broad is the way.” (Matthew 7:13)  This refers to the path assigned to King Tutankhamun. All mankind, except for the saints will be taking this path. During the general resurrection, the saints will identify those who will later join the firstborn in New Jerusalem during their judgment.  Those not selected for New Jerusalem will go first into the lake of fire (Gehenna) and then resurrected into the new heavens and earth.   They will live outside the walls of New Jerusalem. (Revelation 22: 15)  Not one human being who ever lived is lost! What a loving Creator.

There is much to consider here! The first step is baptism in YahwehShua.

Consider Tutankhamun.   Do you want his type of royalty? How about an eternal royalty? (Revelation 20: 6)

If you have found this website, it is probably not by chance. This is possibly your invitation from Father Yahweh. Please pray for truth in the name of Father Yahweh and consider carefully what you are being offered.
